Kale, the heroine of Amara, grew up in a small Marione town named River Away. Abandoned by her parents, she is an O’rant slave girl until she found a most precious object, a dragon egg. Despite Kale’s best efforts to hide the egg Headmistress Meiger still finds the egg and sends her to The Hall for training as a Dragon keeper.
Leetu Bends and Dar divert Kale while on the way to The Hall. Sent by Paladin to find her, they tell her she must help save a rare meech dragon egg. While on her mission Kale starts to learn wizardry from Fenworth. After saving the meech dragon Kale starts her official training at The Hall, where she meets Bardon. Then bad news comes again, the evil wizard Risto has another meech dragon enslaved in his service. Striking out on a new adventure, Kale and Bardon set out to save Amara together.
As a dragon keeper Kale has many duties, including training Rigador, her new meech dragon. After years of travel Kale finally meets her mom, Lyll, and learns about her past. She even learned to change into her battle dress with a quick spin, and most importantly a piece of sage advice. “Wear pink it confuses the enemy!”
